Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Trustory's website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Trustory provides tools to convert screen recordings and related media into interactive walkthroughs, including AI-assisted click detection, hints, narration, and sharing. Features, limits, and pricing may change over time; we will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@trustory.so if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the media and content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant Trustory a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service — including generating walkthroughs, previews, exports, and shared links as you request.
You represent that:
- You own or have the necessary rights to upload and use Your Content.
- Your Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Your Content complies with applicable laws and does not contain unlawful, harmful, or abusive material.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate others' rights.
- Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with the Service's operation.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service except as expressly permitted.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Exceed usage limits or circumvent billing, rate limits, or access controls.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. AI features & credits
Certain features (click detection, narration synthesis, exports) consume AI credits or are subject to plan limits. Credit balances, pricing, and feature availability are described in the application. AI-generated outputs may require review; you are responsible for verifying accuracy before sharing walkthroughs publicly.
7. Payments & refunds
Paid plans and credit purchases are billed through our payment partners. Fees are stated at the time of purchase. Unless required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable once credits are consumed or a billing period has begun. Contact hello@trustory.so for billing disputes.
8. Intellectual property
Trustory and its logos, software, and design are our property or our licensors'. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or underlying technology except the limited right to use the Service as intended.
9. Shared links & public content
When you publish a story or share a link, anyone with that link may view the walkthrough according to your sharing settings. You are responsible for what you choose to make accessible and for complying with any obligations you have to viewers (e.g. privacy notices for personal data shown in recordings).
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUSTORY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if continued provision of the Service becomes impractical. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. liability limits, content licences for already-processed work) will remain in effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos, Nigeria, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
14. Changes
We may revise these Terms. We will post the updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
